EVENT INFORMATION

This event is a Motorsports Safety Foundation Level 2 Training Day, for Level 1 Certified Instructors that seek to become Level 2 Certified. Level 2 Mentors should also register here. There will be a range of Classroom and On-Track activities as well as driving opportunities for both Mentors and Candidates. Attendees can expect 6 Sessions on-track to put into practice the instruction techniques, as well as classroom time to discuss and learn how to handle real life scenarios that are encountered in right-seat instruction. There will also be some track time to drive at speed, for those that are interested.

If you are not currently Level 1 Certified, this can be done in short order to qualify you for the Level 2 Day. More Information on both Level 1 and Level 2 is below.

LOCATION: Willow Springs International Raceway is located at 3500 75th Street West in Rosamond, CA. Take the Rosamond Blvd exit off the 14 freeway and proceed west for six miles until you reach the track entrance. Please note that there is a $20/person gate fee charged by the track for all entrants (including spectators).

SCHEDULEYou should plan to show up at the track 60 minutes before your first meeting. Check-in generally begins at 7:00am.

TOW HOOKS or TOW POINTS are highly recommended on the FRONT (and recommended on the REAR) of your car before going out on track. The important thing is that you have appropriate tow points figured out that we can hook on to in order to tow you off track. This is your responsibility and we will not be responsible if we are forced to figure one out on the fly.

The TECH FORM is a must-have at the event. It is an online form sent with the full pre-event details. For reference the PDF version is here: http://www.speedventures.com/events/tech.pdf

There is also a track event checklist available if you're not sure what you should bring:https://www.speedventures.com/Events/trackchecklist.doc
